Sebastien is an 11 year old boy, who likes to do things any other 11 year old boy likes to do, play video games, watch sports on TV (especially his favorite player, Lebron James), and play baseball. He does all of those things, but he also works harder than the most dedicated professional athlete to make it through every single day. He's determined. He's a fighter. And he needs our help to find a treatment for mitochondrial disease. He doesn't need our help in a couple of months or a year, he needs it right now.
A cure for mitochondrial diseases will not only help Sebastien and those living with mitochondrial disease, but also those living with diseases associated with mitochondrial disorders, like Autism, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, ALS (Lou Gehrig's) and muscular dystrophy and more.

The Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine is dedicated to supporting the most promising treatments for the many forms of mitochondrial disease. People with mitochondrial disease struggle daily. So do the many people affected by the cousins of mitochondrial disease—Autism, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s, ALS, Chronic Fatigue, diabetes, epilepsy and more.
We appreciate our donors, volunteers, and social media friends – all of you help us on the mission to fund research and treatments for pediatric and adult patients.
Hope can fly. Hope can heal. Thank you.
