FMM is a 501©(3) non profit dedicated to supporting research and treatments for the many forms of pediatric and adult mitochondrial disease. This disease might sound rare, but it is more familiar than people realize. It effects 1 in 2,500 youth and adults, and is linked as a cause of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, Lou Gehrig’s and other related diseases.
The Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine (FMM) hosts the 8th Annual Hope Flies® Catch the Cure, September 22, 2017, at the Stave Room in Atlanta. This high visibility fundraiser hosted by business and community leaders benefits the Foundation's programs and research.
